Oklahoma CyberKnife is widely known as a leading provider of stereotactic radiosurgery. In the fourth quarter of 2009, our center performed the highest number of lung-cancer treatments of any CyberKnife center in the world.
Our team of physicians has conducted research on CyberKnife’s ability to alleviate trigeminal neuralgia patients’ pain. Medical Director Dr. Heaton is a nationally recognized expert on the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia and appeared at the 2010 annual meeting of the CyberKnife Society to present her clinical findings from a study examining pain relief in 19 trigeminal neuralgia patients following CyberKnife treatment.
Diseases most often treated at our center include brain tumors, lung tumors and trigeminal neuralgia. Oklahoma CyberKnife has extensive experience in treating lung cancer patients, as lung tumors represent the largest number of our cases. We have treated patients from around the state, as well as patients from Arkansas and Missouri.
