Radiation Oncologists
Dr. Melisa Boersma
Melisa Boersma, M.D. grew up in Bartlesville, OK. She attended Stanford University and received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology in 1992. She went on to pursue a master's degree in Biochemistry at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology which she completed in 1995. She completed medical school in 2002 at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas. She then went on to complete her residency training in Radiation Oncology at the same institution in 2007, where she served as the chief resident from July of 2005 to January of 2006.
Dr. Connie Nguyen
A native of Saigon, Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen left Vietnam in 1975 and settled with her family in California. In 1987 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California in Riverside, California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. In 1990, she received her medical degree from the University of California (UCLA) in Los Angeles. After completing an internship at UCLA School of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Nguyen completed a three-year residency in Radiation Therapy at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California.
Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology as is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Nguyen is married and has 2 children. She speaks fluent English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
